Tabs, The. @ A folk-rock band based in Hastings. The original members Roger Flack (guitars), Garry Blakely (violin) and Pete Fyfe (bouzouki/mandolin) all have long pedigrees in the Hastings music scene. The went down extremely well at the 1995 Black Horse Reunion Folk Festival, and have been doing well at other festivals since. They enjoy the music which always adds a sparkle to a performance, playing both traditional material and some very good self penned songs and tunes. The latest line up is Garry Blakely (violin/vocals), Dave Pellet (bouzouki/vocals/guitar), Roger Flack (guitars/vocals/percusion), Phil Flack (drums/percussion) & Nick Cooper (bass). 1998 saw them guesting at Cropredy where they gave a superb performance. A young guitarist and Cropredy veteran (no connection) described them as "The best graveyard spot I have ever seen". pic
