Larner, Sam.@ 1878-1965. Traditional unaccompanied folk singer from Norfolk Recorded 1958/59 in his kitchen. He was a great inspiration to Martin Carthy in his early years.
Le Serf, Cathy. @ A vocalist on the Fiddler's Dram hit,'Daytrip To Banger', Le Serf went on to sing for nearly eight years with the Albion Band, and in 1985 with Fairport Convention. Solo recordings and appearanes contain many well known electric folk musicians.

Lyle, Bing. A singer/songwriter now based in Brighton, he also plays accordion. piano, flute and guitar. Starting as a chorister at Canturbury Cathedral, he has busked arounf Europe for a nunber of years, but since 1989 he has been musical director for Brighton's Comunity arts project "Same Sky". He plays for the "Sussex Pistols" barn dance band, is a reugalar tutor for "The Wealdon Folk Project" and Herbie Flowres "Rock Shop". Also since 1989 has played as half of the duo Bing Lyle and Ben Paley. See also Ben Paley
Lynch, Patrick. @ b. ~1971. He has been telling stories since he was a child, (many of which he was told off for and sent to bed without any supper). He soon came to learn how much people of all ages love to hear live stories and has been concentrating on those from his own tradition - Celtic Tales. Born and raised in Aberdeen, Scotland of Irish parents, he says that he has absorbed the best and worst of both cultures! After gaining a degree in psychology from Glasgow University he went on to study drama and then dramatherapy which particularly uses the power of myth and stories to inspire and heal. Patrick has toured with a number of theatre companies and is a founder member of Amber Theatre who specialise in bringing new monologues and story formats to the public. He is currently living in Berkshire, bringing a touch of the blarney to that heathen land. He has also been running drama and story- telling workshops for people with a learning disability and is a regular worker at The Ark, Southhill Park Arts Centre, Bracknell, one of the leading practitioners of combined arts for people with special needs. e-mail
