Incredible String Band. @ Formed in 1965, by Mike Heron (b. 12 December 1942, Glasgow, Scotland), Robin Williamson (b. 24 November 1943, Edinburgh, Scotland) and Clive Palmer (b. Glasgow, Scotland). Palmer left after the first LP.Mike and Robin carried on as a duo. Mike's 'Painting Box' from 5000 Spirits is now a club standard. Augmented by Licorice McKechnie (harp/violin/percussion) and Rose Simpson (bass/violin/percussion) - later full members ISB produced a sequence of hippy influenced folk albums until 1974.

Iona(1).@ Celtic group from the 70's. No known connection with Iona 1989. There is also an American Celtic Group of the same name.

Iona.@ Formed in 1989 and named after the remote scottish island/comunity of the same name. Iona achieve a successful mix of Celtic folk and rock. They are often compared to Clannad or Capercaille, yet retain their own sound. 1997 line up - Dave Bainbridge (Guitars/keyboard), Joanne Hogg (vocals/guitar/keyboard) Terl Byant (drums/percussion), Phil Barker (basses), Mike Haughton (saxes/flute/whistle/vocals) & Troy Donockley (whistles/pipes/guitars/vocals). bye (off air at last test)
