Better Days. Hastings based folk-rock group. The original lineup comprised John Burgess (vocals/mandoline), Steve Cooke (violin/keyboards), Garry Blakeley (violin), Paul Dengate (guitar) Andrew Griffin (bass) and Paul Warren (drums). Toured with Steeley Span, then changed line up. Chaser formed from the ashes now defunct too.

Blakeley, Garry. Violinist based in Hastings (also guitar, mandolin, bodhran, whistle, vocals). He studied violin and piano at Dartington College of Arts in Devon, England and has been involved in many line ups in and around Hastings, including The Mariners, Band of Two, Rogues in Rosin, Better Days and The Tabs. Always poupular at the Black Horse Reunion Festival, where he seems to be in every other act. Garry is much better that many 'rated' violinists ( I remember him playing Vivaldi at one Black Horse Reunion that made Nigel Kenedy look rather pale) including some folk names of long standing. He is rumoured to be working on a solo CD (Out of The Shadows), he has also guested with Barry Dransfield.
